Amisha Choudhary was brimming with excitement and nerves as she made her way to Mildies, a renowned tech company where she had just landed a job. With her portfolio in one hand and her phone in the other, she was engrossed in a last-minute read of the company’s recent projects.
As she neared the towering glass building of Mildies, her attention wavered, and she collided head-on with someone. Papers and phone went flying, and she stumbled back, barely managing to stay on her feet. She looked up, ready to give the person a piece of her mind.
“Arre! Tumhe dekh ke chalne ki tameez nahi hai kya?” she exclaimed, her voice rising. “Andhe ho kya?”
The man she had bumped into straightened up, his green piercing eyes locking onto hers. His sharp nose and jawline made him look almost model-like, and a small mole near his left eye added a touch of intrigue. For a split second, Amisha found herself staring, momentarily distracted by his striking features.
But her sass quickly returned. “Aise khade rahoge ya kuch madad bhi karoge?” she snapped, gathering her scattered belongings.
The man raised an eyebrow, clearly taken aback by her outburst. “I’m sorry,” he said coolly, bending down to help her. “I didn’t see you.”
Amisha rolled her eyes. “Haan haan, ab tumhare excuse bhi sun lete hain,” she muttered under her breath, snatching her papers from his hand.
Without another word, she hurried into the building, determined to put the embarrassing encounter behind her. As she entered the sleek, modern office of Mildies, she was greeted by a friendly receptionist who directed her to the orientation room.
The room buzzed with the chatter of new employees, all eager to begin their first day. Amisha took a seat, still fuming from her earlier run-in. As the orientation started, the HR manager stepped forward to introduce the team.
“And now, let’s welcome our manager, Mr. Aditya Singh Shekhawat, who will be overseeing the new joiners.”
Amisha’s heart sank as she saw the man she had insulted earlier walk to the front of the room. Aditya Singh Shekhawat. Of course. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she slouched slightly in her seat, hoping he wouldn’t recognize her.
Aditya scanned the room, his eyes stopping momentarily on Amisha. He gave a slight nod, a flicker of recognition in his eyes, but continued with his introduction.
“Welcome to Mildies,” he said warmly. “I look forward to working with all of you.”
Amisha cursed her luck under her breath. “Great, just great. Pehla din aur pehla panga manager ke saath.” She could only hope that the rest of her time at Mildies would be less disastrous.
As the orientation continued, Aditya’s gaze occasionally drifted towards Amisha, who was trying her best to appear invisible. Neither of them knew what lay ahead, but one thing was certain: their unexpected encounter had set the stage for a complicated yet intriguing journey.
Amisha couldn’t shake off the image of his piercing green eyes and the way he had looked at her, while Aditya found himself thinking about the fiery, sassy girl who had dared to insult him in front of a crowd. Both were oblivious to the future that awaited them, filled with twists and turns neither could predict.
Hope you are doing well....
